Part I: Show Description
Organized by Urban Rail Transit Committee of China Communications & Transportation Association, China International Engineering Consulting Corporation and Intex Shanghai Co., Ltd., co-organized by IMAG-International Messe-und Ausstellungsdienst GmbH and managed by Shanghai Tianhe Convention and Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., Metro China 2007 was successfully held from June 12th -14th 2007, in Shanghai New Expo Center (SNIEC).
Exhibition of High Level and Valued by Government
Metro China has obtained support not only from big companies like Shanghai Electric Transport Co., Ltd. Bombardier, Siemens, Alstom, but also from most Chinese cities’ urban rail operators.On the 1st day of the exhibition, Shanghai Mayor, Mr. Han, Zhen and Vice Shanghai Mayor Mr. Yang, Xiong visited the exhibition and cut ribbons for Opening Ceremony.On the 3rd day, Mr. Hu, Yan Zhao, Vice Mayor of Shanghai Municipality come and visited the exhibition.
Compared to its previous editions, the show scale, professional visitors quality as well as exhibitor amount of 2007 edition have all grown significantly.Please refer to the below chart for more detaisl of its growth,

Metro China 2007 has covered over 18000sqm and attracted 228 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions including Germany, UK, USA, Canada, France, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, Fenland, China, etc. Exhibits cover the whole urban rail transit industry chain which ranges from products and relative technologies of early planning stage, i.e., design and planning, investment and financing, construction, relative equipment such as metro train, train parts, station equipment, AFC system, and to the latter operation stage as system integration, metro line management, etc.

Part IV: Fringe Programs
Generally speaking, fringes programs during the show attracted lots of attentions from exhibitors as well as visitors.
- “Latest Chinese Metro Plan Release” ---offered useful information to help suppliers’ future marketing planning in China.
- Presentation of “Changzhou -– Manufacture Basis of Chinese railway industry”, introduced the current rail manufacturing industry development in China, and some successful local enterprises.
- “German Session” ---10 companies led by German Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology presented advanced and interesting products and technology.
